Over 500 adults and children in Magadi had access to health care in October 2018 thanks to the launch of our mobile health clinic!
From our partners in Magadi, the following was reported:
Five different villages received services on a rotating basis over the course of the month. Treatments provided to the communities include: immunizations, ear/eye/skin infection treatment, respiratory/urinary infection treatment, malaria treatment, family planning, HIV/AIDS counseling and treatment for diarrhea. Malnutrition cases were reported and intervention was provided for children needing additional food sources.
One of the challenges to care provision was a fuel shortage in the area at the beginning of the month, which was resolved. Check out the photos below to see the clinic in action!
