The past few months have been full of meaningful progress at the clinic in Magadi, and we are grateful to share several milestones with our supporters.
Clean Water for the Community
Through the generous support of Team Agape-Kenya and the Rotary Clubs of Tacoma 8, Gig Harbor, and Sumner (WA), we have begun installing a clean water filtration system at the clinic.

When complete, this system will become one of the only sources of clean, filtered
drinking water in the surrounding Magadi community. For many families, reliable access to safe water is not a given. This project will allow patients and neighbors to access filtered drinking water for a very small fee—making it both sustainable and accessible.
Clean water is critical not only for everyday health but also for families caring for children or managing medications. Something as simple as safe drinking water can dramatically improve health outcomes.
The project has not been without challenges. Recent heavy rains have slowed construction and complicated installation efforts. But despite the weather, the work continues—and the system will soon be fully operational.

A New Chapter for Maternal Care
Another exciting milestone occurred earlier this year.
In late January, we completed renovations on the clinic’s maternity wing, creating a safer and more welcoming space for mothers and newborns. Alongside the renovation, we were also able to hire a second nurse with many years of midwifery experience, strengthening the care our team can provide to expectant mothers.

And just yesterday, something remarkable happened: The first baby was delivered in the clinic’s newly renovated maternity wing. Mom and baby are both doing well, and the moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for maternal care in this community.
Looking Ahead
These milestones—clean water access, expanded maternity care, and new life entering the world—represent exactly why this clinic exists.
Each step forward is made possible through the generosity of partners, donors, and volunteers who believe that communities like Magadi deserve access to safe water, skilled medical care, and hope for the future.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues to walk alongside this mission.
And yesterday’s new arrival reminds us of something important:
Every improvement we make today will shape the lives of the next generation.
