Our trip to Kenya was a profound reminder that every time we reach out at home or abroad, we are reached in return—by the wisdom, kindness, and strength of those we meet.
The rhythm of African drums filled the Wachholz Center as over 100 supporters gathered for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, community, and hope. Our fundraising event for the Women's Empowerment Project in Kenya exceeded every expectation, and we're still amazed by the outpouring of generosity and support.
Setting the Perfect Tone
The Sugar Beat African drumming group opened our evening with powerful, authentic rhythms that immediately transported everyone to Kenya. Their performance set the perfect cultural backdrop for the stories we were about to share, creating an atmosphere that honored the communities we serve while celebrating the connection between our Montana supporters and our Kenyan partners.
Stories That Moved Hearts
More than 100 attendees listened intently as we shared inspiring stories of impact from our recent trip to Kenya. From the challenges of mobile health outreach to the joy of opening the new CFF Rotary Medical Clinic, every story highlighted how community support transforms lives. The room was captivated as we described the hundreds of women and girls who now have access to consistent reproductive health education and medical care.
Overwhelming Generosity
The response to our "Power the Clinic" fundraising initiative was nothing short of extraordinary. Donors stepped forward throughout the evening, contributing through direct donations and our vibrant Maasai market featuring authentic Kenyan goods. The combination of heartfelt stories and tangible ways to help created an environment where generosity flourished.
Watching community members browse beautiful handcrafted items while knowing every purchase directly supported healthcare in Kenya was truly special. The market not only raised crucial funds but also provided a meaningful connection to the culture and artistry of the communities we serve.
The Work Continues
While we're celebrating this incredible evening, our work is far from over. Solar panel installation has become our first priority for this year, ensuring the clinic can operate reliably regardless of power grid challenges. Consistent electricity means refrigerated vaccines, reliable lighting for emergency care, and the ability to serve patients around the clock.
You can still be part of this impact! If you missed our event or want to contribute further, donations are still being accepted through our PayPal link. Every contribution brings us closer to powering the clinic with sustainable solar energy.
Thank You
To everyone who attended, performed, donated, and shared in this incredible evening—asante sana! Your support doesn't just fund a clinic; it empowers women, strengthens families, and transforms entire communities in rural Kenya.
The rhythm of those opening drums reminded us that we're all connected across continents through our shared humanity and desire to help others. Thank you for being part of this beautiful mission.
